Ingrowing toe nails - Ouch!... Well, it doesn't always have to be..

Ingrowing toe nails are one of the most common problems I will see in my clinic. It is a problem most easily treated when it firststarts, for example when you first begin to notice that there is something wrong.

People will often leave the initial ingrowing toe nail or try and 'self-treat'. This often leads to bigger problems e.g. the nail further in-grows, becomes infected, becomes far more painful and tends to reoccur again and again.

Here is a guide to ingrowing toe nails by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists offering clear and simple information on what you need to know about this painful condition and the help we as Podiatrists/Chiropodists can give.
